"Recently the news and world around us has seemed to become more somber, dark, and scary. As people escape to realities that are different than our own, the public has looked increasingly towards films and other forms of media to distract them. That is why I decided to create a film that blends a sense of escapism and comedy that allows viewers to breathe in times of stress. The Lifeguards works in every way to return people’s sense of joy and hope. With a little comedy, romance, and a whodunit mystery, audience members are transported to a quaint new world."
